Terms of Use

1. About PolicyPal.Dev
PolicyPal.Dev (the “Service”) is an AI-assisted tool that reads insurance documents and claim information you provide and returns an informational report. The Service offers two tools: Policy Review (gaps in cover and premium guidance) and Claim Clarity (coverage check, invoice sanity-check and indicative claim amount).
2. Acceptance of these terms
By creating an account, uploading documents or paying for an analysis you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and capable of forming a binding contract. You are responsible for the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
4. Informational only — not advice
Reports produced by the Service are generated by artificial intelligence using the documents and inputs you provide. They are informational only and are not insurance, financial, legal or other professional advice, an underwriting decision, a claim determination, or a binding settlement figure.
Always confirm coverage, exclusions, excesses and settlement amounts directly with your insurer, broker or a suitably qualified advisor before making any decision or filing a claim.
5. AI output disclaimer
AI models can make mistakes, miss context, misread documents and produce inaccurate or incomplete results. Output may vary between analyses of the same document. You are solely responsible for evaluating the accuracy, completeness and suitability of any report before relying on it.
6. Your content
You retain ownership of the documents and information you upload. You grant PolicyPal.Dev a limited licence to process them for the sole purpose of generating your report and operating the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to upload any document you submit.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- upload content you are not entitled to share;
- upload material that is unlawful, infringing, malicious or contains malware;
- attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, resell or build a competing product from the Service;
- use the Service to harass, defraud or harm any person;
- circumvent payment, rate limits, security or access controls.
8. Payments and refunds
Each analysis is charged on a pay-per-use basis at the price shown at checkout (currently US$7 per analysis). Because each analysis triggers immediate AI processing costs, all sales are final and non-refundable except where required by law or where the Service failed to produce a report due to our fault.
9. Disclaimer of warranties
The Service and all reports are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, completeness, non-infringement, or uninterrupted or error-free operation. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all such warranties.
10. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PolicyPal.Dev, its operators, owners, employees, contractors, suppliers and partners are excluded from all liability arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service or any report it produces, including without limitation:
- decisions you make based on a report (including buying, renewing, cancelling or relying on an insurance policy, or filing, withdrawing or settling a claim);
- denied claims, voided policies, non-disclosure findings or under-settlement by your insurer;
- errors, omissions, hallucinations or inaccuracies in AI output;
- lost profits, lost savings, lost data, business interruption, or any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive or exemplary damages;
- outages, downtime, data loss or interruption of any third-party service the platform depends on.
Where liability cannot lawfully be excluded, our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the specific analysis giving rise to the claim, or US$7, whichever is lower.
You acknowledge that the price of the Service reflects this allocation of risk and that you would not use the Service on different terms.
11. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless PolicyPal.Dev and its operators from any claim, loss, liability or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your breach of these terms or your misuse of the Service.
12. Third-party services
The Service relies on third-party providers (for example authentication, hosting, AI inference, payment processing and object storage). We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, availability or content of those providers.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time if we reasonably believe you have breached these terms or if we are required to do so by law. You may stop using the Service at any time.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of PolicyPal.Dev is established. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that jurisdiction, unless a non-waivable consumer-protection law in your country of residence provides otherwise.
16. Contact
For questions about these terms, contact the operator of PolicyPal.Dev via the contact channel listed on the site.
PolicyPal.Dev is an AI-assisted information tool. It is not an insurer, broker, loss adjuster or law firm.
